OPERATION BACKYARD

REPAIRING THE COMMUNITY ONE HOME AT A TIME

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Philippians 2:3 (NIV)

Operation Backyard provides free home repair services for low-income homeowners. Work is provided by youth teams with adult supervision, so everyone benefits. Homeowners with limited income receive much-needed home repairs. Volunteers experience the reward of helping those less fortunate than themselves, and find they have been ministered to as well. The entire community grows closer and stronger in the process.

Operation Backyard offers three volunteer programs:

1. Summer Youth Service Camp
This program allows youth in 7th through 12th grades to spend a week serving God by helping others in their own backyard.

2. Weekend Service Project
Individuals or groups of any age or size can sign up for a weekend of home repair.

3. Volunteer Corp
Adult volunteers commit one day per month to perform small repairs in need of immediate attention.

ABOUT KLF'S OPERATION BACKYARD

FOR HOMEOWNERS

There's nothing quite like the "home invasion" of a crew of enthusiastic teens or adults ready to help with home repair. Under supervision, these workers have helped paint, patch, fix-up and repair roofs, gutters, decks, and even yards. They learn the value of hard work and service, as you get the benefit of their lessons, so it's a two-way blessing.

Homeowners who wish to participate in Operation Backyard must meet guidelines based on their income, location and the scope of work needed. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for more information.
