CENTER FOR COMMUNITIES

BUILDING UP NON-PROFTIS FOR COMMUNITY IMPACT

Many non-profits start with a great vision to meet even greater needs, but themselves lack the training or expertise to become a strong organization. KLF’s CFC program gives them a better start through concentrated learning, activities and consulting that lends expertise in areas as diverse as program capacity, fund raising development, measurement of program outcomes, marketing, strategic planning, and creative partnership development to meet community needs.

To date, over 52 organizations have been helped through CFC, and they in turn have touched the lives of over 219,487 individuals in our five-county greater Knoxville area.

In addition, KLF training has assisted these organizations in raising over $2.2 million from new sources of funding.

“The Joy of Music School has gotten a significant boost in several areas of our operations. KLF pledged to help us build our capacity. There’s no question that has happened. As a result of KLF’s Center for Communities program we are becoming a healthier, stronger, more stable organization. Along with those improvements comes even better long term potential. For us, that’s the key to fulfilling our mission.”
Francis Graffeo | Executive Director | The Joy of Music School

“KLF has been such a blessing to our organization and the Knoxville region. Our ministry has matured and become more stable because of the work KLF has done with us. The technical training has been invaluable. We are able to reach more clients and do a better job.”
Barbara Mitchell | Teen Challenge of East TN

“The technical assistance and support provided for us by the Knoxville Leadership Foundation played a huge part in moving us from a small start-up ministry with limited vision to a well-respected, nationally-recognized organization. In three years we have achieved milestones that normally would take decades to reach. Thanks to the staff of KLF and the consultants hired by KLF, we have the capacity to serve many more women and positively effect many more lives.”
Eva Pierce | A Hand Up for Women

“Thank you KLF for all of the hard work, love and the mentoring expressed to Lost Sheep Ministry. God, with your help, made the difference in our ministry and has increased our capacity to reach the homeless and at-risk youth in our city. Destination Hope grew out of this faith-based initiative, 3 year program, that has allowed five ministries to do what was almost impossible to reach the women on the streets of Knoxville alone.”
Maxine Raines | Lost Sheep Ministries
