The Job Search Workshop, led by Don Truza - CEO of The Transition Team, will focus on important, practical issues of the job search process including:
—Discovering how God has “S.H.A.P.E.-d” you for your next career
—Understanding the importance of and using social media in the search
—Websites for networking for the exempt level
—Personal inventory of values, hurdles and job fit
—Life/Career Planning
—Creating a vision statement for the search process
—Job targeting
—What employers want in a modern resume and cover letter
—Development of customized charts and graphs of accomplishments
—Development of self-marketing tools, written and verbal
—Development of a personalized job search strategy
—Introduction to methods of researching potential employers, recruiters and published job openings
—Training in networking techniques to uncover the “hidden” job market
—Interview skills training with pre- and post-interview debriefing
—Job offer negotiation strategy at the manager’s level

As part of the training you will receive two workbooks titled: Professional Life & Career Planning Guidebook and Managing Change. To help cover the expense of the workbooks, there is a charge of $60 due on or before the first day of class.

Don will be sharing over 20 years of experience in helping people find their new career paths.
